Your tax professional should be able to complete your return within 48 hours after first contacting you. This time can vary significantly if:

  • Your tax professional has trouble contacting you.

  • You have delays in obtaining or submitting required information.

What can I expect from the tax professional assigned to my return?

Your tax professional will typically contact you within 24 hours to review the information you've submitted and gather any additional documentation needed for your return. He or she will talk to you about any additional services available and offer advice specific to your tax situation.

If you're using Best of Both, your tax professional will then complete your return and notify you when it's ready for your review and approval. After you approve and pay for your return, your tax professional will e-file it for you or advise you how to print and mail your return.

You might need to submit supporting tax documents to your tax professional. You can submit them via:

  • Upload on secure Message Center

What if I don't have electronic copies of my documents?

You can fax or mail copies of your tax documents to your tax professional. Before faxing, print a fax cover sheet to include with your documents. The cover sheet is available via the Main Menu. Or if you have a digital camera or mobile phone with a camera, take a photo of the document(s) and attach it via the Message Center. • NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE
    COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money-market deposit accounts.

For more information about temporary FDIC insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit www.fdic.gov.
